Engaging with Nature Community Garden Volunteer Session (Copy)

  • The Nature Discovery Centre Lower Way Thatcham, England, RG19 United Kingdom (map)

Gardening has boundless benefits for both people and the planet. Gardening can:

  • Improve mental health through a sense of purpose and achievement

  • Connect with others – reducing feelings of isolation or exclusion

  • Acquire new skills to improve the chances of finding employment

  • Strengthen your relationship with nature

Together with the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust we have created a community garden that is for both the health of people and wildlife.

Sessions are completely free and very relaxed. We move with the seasons and follow what the garden needs. Activities include:

  • Habitat creation

  • Gardening for wildlife

  • Seasonal gardening tasks

  • Eco-art projects

To name just a few!

We are currently in our winter programme meeting on the first Friday of every month, 2-4pm.

You will be so welcome. Please do book your place and we will be in touch with more details.

Book Your Place Here.

We look forward to ‘growing’ with you!
